Rescues play a vital role within the guinea pig community. Volunteers spend countless hours working to ensure that they protect and care for guinea pigs in need. Many rescues, around the globe, strive to keep homeless piggies sheltered, ill piggies treated, and hungry piggies fed. Their contributions towards these peaceful, loving creatures should not go unnoticed.
For these reasons, Kavee has been hard at work in planning a new and exciting program, in order to shine the spotlight on the many amazing rescues' efforts.
With that being said, It gives us great pleasure to announce the launch of our new program “Rescue of the Month”.
WHAT IS THE GUINEA PIG RESCUE OF THE MONTH PROGRAM?

Each month, Kavee will be awarding a USA-based guinea pig rescue. The selected rescue will be announced on our social media and introduced through our blog and Youtube channel, in order to make others aware of their great efforts. Adoptable guinea pigs from the rescue will be featured in order to increase their chance to find a forever home! Kavee will also be donating to each “Rescue of the Month” $100 worth of supplies as a thank you for all their hard work.
WHY THIS PROGRAM?
From the very start, animal wellbeing is at the core of what we do. We are guinea pig parents, biologist, vet and engineers and have always been passionate about animal welfare. Supporting the wellbeing of guinea pigs is the reason we exist. That’s why we want to give back to the guinea pig community and really show our love and appreciation for them.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHICH GUINEA PIG RESCUES WILL BE FEATURED?
We will be announcing the selected rescue during the first week of each month, on our Instagram account: @kavee_cage
HOW CAN I HELP THE GUINEA PIG RESCUE OF THE MONTH?
Several ways for you to do so:
- Reshare our posts about the rescue and their adoptables
- Make a donation to the rescue (please reach out to them directly)
- Consider volunteering if the rescue is in your area
- Adopt a guinea pig from the rescue
Many rescues will often share a list of items that they are most in need of, so be sure to check their website or social platforms for more information.
