Guinea Pig Cleaning Supplies FAQ

How often should a guinea pig cage be cleaned?

This can depend on the size of your c&c guinea pig cage and the number of piggies you have. Ideally you should do a deep clean at least once a week with constant surface level cleaning as needed.

How often do you need to change the bedding in a guinea pig cage?

Depending on how many guinea pigs you have, you should change their bedding at least twice a week to keep them clean, cozy and dry.

How do I clean up guinea pig pee?

The coroplast base of your guinea pig cage is wipe-clean so you need only wipe it to remove guinea pig pee. To remove guinea pig pee from our fleece liners, pee pads or hidey homes you can simply put them in the wash. If you wish to keep them separate from the rest of your washing, use a laundry bag such as our Eat, Wheek, Poop, Repeat! Bag

How do I clean up guinea pig poop?

It is easy to clean up guinea pig poop with a small dustpan and brush. Using one such as our Swept Off Your Paws dustpan and brush makes it even easier as it is specifically designed to be small enough to get into the corners of your piggies cage.
