A snug mushroom retreat where piggies can hide away and feel safe.
Description
With the Fungi Hide, guinea pigs get their own toadstool retreat, a safe, snug spot to duck into whenever they need a moment away from the world. As prey animals, guinea pigs rely on having somewhere they can properly hide, and this hide gives them exactly that, wrapped in the collection's most enchanting print yet.
Built with our biggest construction improvements to date, the Fungi Hide holds its shape through daily use, with seamless stitching and stronger shaping that keep it looking as good as the day it arrived. Extended walls, stronger piping and a larger entrance let air move freely through the hide, so piggies stay cool and comfortable even when they're tucked away inside. A fitted pee pad sits inside the base, absorbing any accidents so the fleece stays fresher for longer.
Whether it's a quick hideaway during a noisy afternoon or a proper nap spot, the Fungi Hide brings a little woodland magic into every habitat, and gives piggies somewhere that feels entirely their own.

Care
Remove the pee pad before washing. Place inside a laundry bag to protect your washing machine. Machine wash at 30°C with a pet-safe detergent or a splash of white vinegar. Air dry on a rack. Avoid tumble drying or hanging over a heater, as this can affect how the fleece holds its shape.
Fur Potato entered pumpkin and immediately started eating and pooping, which means she loves it. Has a very stable base and has survived a trip through a US American style washing machine in a cold wash gentle cycle with an air dry on a rack. There is a little circle piece that can be removed and cleaned alone if that is easier. Cozy, cute, and autumnal.
I had to seperate one of Boars, because he is too aggressive with the rest. Not only that he eats the hay out of it but he treats the bag like a punching bag! Gets under it and starts bucking and jumping under it! I love it.
My piggies are enjoying the double tunnel. It is a bit more floppy and flexible so I added a binder clip to stabilize it and that helped. Would recommend purchasing.
Really not pleased with this product which is a bummer. Last year I bought the Christmas drop fleece liner with hidey and have absolutely loved it! My piggies are full grown and can’t squeeze in here. The hole is too small and no matter how many times I’ve tried to flatten it, it still cave in on one side. Also the pee pad is torn.
i love the hay bag. its really big and has holes big enough for my boys to put their whole little heads in and get all the hay they want without getting it everywhere :) much better than the hay holders ive found in stores
It took my pigs a few days, but once they figured out how cozy this bed is, now they don't want to leave it! They like to curl up inside, but sometimes I flip it upside down and they use it as a cozy hut and seem to enjoy that too :) Also, the Nordic Nature colorway is so pretty!
Nordic Nature is such a pretty color, and my three piggies love zooming through these tunnels! I ordered two and when they arrived, one tunnel was damaged; but I contacted customer service and they sent me a replacement immediately. The new one is perfect!
My three guinea pigs LOVE this thing! They're constantly zooming back and forth through the tunnels. Definitely one of their favorite items :) My only note from a design standpoint is because the two tunnels are completely separate/not stitched together on their long side, they don't have the perky round tops shown in the photos; they sort of flop outward. They're still structured enough to stay completely open for the pigs to run through, but they don't have that perfect upside-down "w" shape. They'd look even cuter if they did, but they're still fun and pattern and fabric are great.
We love the New fleece bedding for our two piggies, Cinderella and Aurora... The unicorn print is perfect in my little girl's room, our piggies are definitely spoiled now!
I love the bright yellow color of this lemon hide! I do not have any problems with the inside pee pad moving around. However, it would make the hide nicer if the pee pad were the same shape as the hide (= oval/ellipsoid) instead of being circular. I think this would help to keep the pad from moving around, as some others have experienced.
I really like this colorful tunnel! It keeps its shape and does not flatten out. I was surprised to find out that the diameter is smaller than a tunnel I have purchased quite a while back, by roughly an inch and a half. However, my guinea pigs frequently use this tunnel as I think the snugness is something they enjoy and probably makes them feel secure and safe.
I really love the bright colors on this mushroom house! The smoother nap on the polka dot areas does clean up easier in the wash. The house is also a nice larger size, so it is roomier for bigger guinea pigs. The only potential problem is that because the mushroom is top heavy (a bit too tall), it has fallen over several times on the door side, with a guinea pig in it! I solved this by placing some extra pieces of fabric underneath the door area, to slightly elevate it. This works out perfectly.
